Kieran Gibbs A Shock Target For Turkish Side Galatasaray

Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs is reportedly a target for Turkish side Galatasaray with the player free to leave the club.

He’s one player who hasn’t represented the club this season and with the number of players ahead of him, doesn’t look likely to feature anytime soon.
Kieran Gibbs has been at the club since 2004 but that spell looks like it will be coming to an end soon considering the strength Arsenal have in the position.

The left-back has been the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs this summer including West Brom and Newcastle but it seems that a slightly different move could be on the cards.
Galatasaray are reportedly keen on signing Gibbs with the Turkish side set to meet with the player’s agent to discuss a potential deal.

Gibbs has made 230 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions and Galatasaray are keen to sign the 27-year-old in a cut-price £4 million deal according to Turkish source Fanatik.

It’s unclear how reliable the reports are but it seems unlikely that the Gunner would want to lose Kieran Gibbs for just £4 million. Perhaps the Gunners are getting desperate to get rid of players with the transfer window ticking by but that could land a sizeable financial blow to Arsene Wenger who reportedly turned down a £10 million offer from West Brom for Gibbs earlier this summer.
