Celtic And Leeds Want Arsenal Man Chuba Akpom

Leeds United and Scottish champions Celtic are both reportedly hugely keen on signing
Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom (via the Mirror).

Arsene Wenger has recently spoken of Arsenal’s need to sell some of the club’s fringe players and it seems that it’s starting to come to fruition.

Cohen Bramall and Carl Jenkinson both left on-loan for Birmingham City this week and it seems that they could soon be joined by another man.
Chuba Akpom is reportedly a target for a number of clubs with Leeds United and Scottish champions Celtic reportedly leading the chase.

Akpom has been at Arsenal since the age of six but with no sign of the player a first-team breakthrough anytime soon, he’s set to move on.

The 21-year-old is being lined up by Celtic – who are looking for someone to challenge first choice Mousa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths – and Leeds United who sold Chris Wood to Burnley this week.

If the Gunners can get a decent price for Chuba Akpom then that’s definitely something which the club should pursue. It’s a shame that the former youth product hasn’t quite kicked onto become the first-team star which some expected but it’s best for all parties if he moves on now.
