YouTube Set To Launch New Music Streaming Service,’YouTube Music’

YouTube Music is set to launch on the 22nd of May in a move that will rival Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and replace Google Play Music.

The streaming service will launch in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea before being rolled out in 14 additional countries, including the UK and hopefully Nigeria. Two of the biggest music streaming services, Spotify and Apple Music are still not available in Nigeria.
For $9.99 (N3,605) per month you can get an ad free premium subscription. Although more than one billion people stream music on YouTube every month, YouTube lags behind its competitors when it comes to paid-for subscriptions.
While we wait for YouTube Music to get here, you can enjoy your Apple Music subscription at  N900 for individual and N1,400 for a family of 7.
