The Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, on Monday, May 14, announced his 30-man provisional squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The list includes Captain Mikel John Obi, goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile and Leon Balogun, as well as midfielders Ogenyi Onazi and Oghenekaro Etebo and forwards Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses.
The list also includes Spain –based goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defenders William Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo and Olaoluwa Aina, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Joel Obi and John Ogu and forwards Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon and Alex Iwobi. All invited players have been told to report at the Le Meridien Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo on Monday, 21st May.

Nigeria is expected to face Croatia in their first group match at the 2018 World Cup at the Kaliningrad Stadium on Saturday, June 16, before games against Iceland (Volgograd, 22nd June) and Argentina (Saint Petersburg 26th June) in Group D.
