Shakira And Gerard Pique Hit By Split Rumours

There are strong indications that Shakira and her footballer boyfriend Gerard Pique have been hit by
split rumours, as new reports claim the two are longer living together, with Colombian superstar Shakira the one to instigate the split.

The couple, who have been together for six years and have two sons together, were last seen together in Argentina in June at the wedding of Gerard’s former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi to his childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo.

A source told Spanish site Cotilleo that 40-year-old Shakira had initiated the split, saying she could ‘no longer cope with the situation’ with her footballer husband, and may have ‘moved out’ of the house they share.

‘It’s something serious and she has been the one who has finally made the decision,’ the source said.

While Pique and Shakira face all these rumours, the Barcelona star seemed to reveal his affection and love for Shakira.

This is not the first time the couple have had to defend themselves against split claims, after Pique poured cold water on rumours he and Shakira are on the verge of splitting by sharing a sweet family photo few weeks ago.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer Shakira had also previously praised her FC Barcelona star boyfriend on his parenting style, claiming he’s her ‘biggest support’ when it comes to raising their children.

 “He’s got his feet on the ground and is very practical about problem-solving. When I get stressed about how to organise things or juggle it all, he helps put it all in perspective.”

“And he is my biggest support. We’re both very hands-on parents, so it never feels like one is carrying the entire load on their own. He probably lets them have a little more chocolate than I’d like, though,” she had said.
