DSS Invites Apostle Suleman Over ‘Inciting Comment On Fulani Herdsmen’
It is understood that the prominent cleric who is expected to appear before the secret police by 10am on Monday would be grilled with respect to the recent alleged inciting comments credited to him that Christians should defend themselves against attacks by Fulani herdsmen.
Barely two weeks ago, the controversial pastor was reported to have ordered his security aides to kill “any Fulani herdsman that comes into his church premises.”
He said this on the back of information received on a plot to assassinate him.
The development led to a ‘foiled’ – middle of the night – raid by detectives of the DSS in Ekiti State to arrest him.
DSS operatives had stormed the hotel where he lodged after a crusade, but Suleman quickly reached out to Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, who intervened on his behalf.
More details to be added as the story develops…
